206 - Ahhh, sibling love! The best of friends and worst of enemies already! It just took me over an hour to get home from the Mall today as one was screaming (three guesses who...) and scaring the other - I stopped twice to settle them! Despite these stresses it is lovely to watch their little relationship develop - Millie constantly watches Zachy and gives him big gummy smiles. And Zachy, despite all his bravado and "I don't like Millie-moo"s absolutely bawled his eyes out when watching her get a jab at the weekend - it actually made me smile seeing his protective side like that! This is one of the most lovely pictures I have of the two of them, snapped by the brilliant @smattia_photography...but oh, if only you knew the time it took to get Zachy sat with arms around his baby sister 😱 Watch this space for more sibling love! How are all your little ones together?
118 - Until last summer, I feared being in Dubai during the warmer months. I felt like it would be a ghost city, with soaring temperatures and every other mum departed for cooler climes. But last summer, I had no choice. I was heavily pregnant and had to be here in Dubai for the end of July and whole of August. It felt like a bit of a prison sentence. But do you know what? I realised there was nothing to fear. In fact, I really enjoyed it. I was right about the soaring temperatures, but not about the lack of friends. People are here - and those that are, tend to stick together. Fast forward to this summer - and whilst we do have summer plans ahead (11 sleeps!) I was in no rush to jet off as soon as school broke up. And it's been amazing - no stress over packing, no tired kids at the end of term suffering with jetlag, no queuing at the airport. Just chilled days, catch ups with friends that are also here (and there are plenty), and lots of dips in chilled pools to escape those temperatures. And just like last summer, @privilee_uae is a big part of why we enjoy it - just like today, at @poloclubdubai with @adventureswithkaya and her brood. Honestly, it may be 40'C, but summer isn't all bad... ☀️💦🌴
